Cyfarfod CRhA Ysgol Beca
13 Chwefror 2020

Cofnodion y Cyfarfod

Yn bresennol: Mrs Thomas, Michelle Phillips, Jemma Vickers, Rhodri John, Sioned Lewis, Sarah Roberts,
Jenny Barney-Griffiths, Catherine Griffiths, Kay Mathias, Leanne Dunn a Sera Johnson.
Ymddiheuriadau: Menna Evans, Sarah Wheeler, Kim Dearden, Kelly Rowlands, Joanne Williams-Parker,
Suzanne Dearden, Marianne Froom, Judith Watson, Kim Davies, Catherine Griffiths a Jennifer Lye.

Croesawodd Michelle pawb i’r cyfarfod a diolchodd iddynt am fynychu.

PYNCIAU A DRAFODWYD:

* Ni fydd yr Eisteddfod yn cael ei gynnal ar y cyd gyda Ysgol Bro Brynach eleni. Fydd Kay Mathias yn trefnu
tê a choffi ar gyfer y diwrnod.
* Trafodwyd sticeri Aldi ond daethpwyd i’r casgliad nad oedd y siart wedi ei lenwi’n ddigonol i’w gyflwyno
i’r gystadleuaeth.
* Yr oedd y Bingo Nadolig yn lwyddiant, gan godi ychydig dros £900. Diolch i’r holl rieni a staff a
gyfrannodd i lwyddiant y noson.
* Soniodd Michelle a Leanne am faterion cyfredol yn ymwneud â Chlwb Beca, clwb-wedi-ysgol Llun a
Mercher yr ysgol. Fel y saif pethau, mae’r Clwb mewn trafferthion ariannol. O ganlyniad i nifer o ffactorau
fel codiad mewn cyflogau i gwrdd â thâl isafswm cyflog, tâl gwyliau’r Nadolig a’r ffaith nad yw’r ffïoedd yn
codi, ni all y Clwb dalu cyflog Leanne ar hyn o bryd, na chwaith gyflogau’r staff yn mis Chwefror. Yn y
gorffennol, rhoddwyd yr arian raffl o’r nosweithiau Bingo i goffrau Clwb Beca. Nid yw’n rywbeth sydd fel
arfer yn digwydd mewn adolwg ond ar yr achlysur yma cytunodd y GRhA i roi £100 o’r Bingo Nadolig i’r
Clwb. Yn ychwanegol i hyn, cytunodd y GRhA y byddai benthyciad i dalu’r cyflogau yn cael ei drefnu. Fydd
Leanne yn ymchwilio’r cyfanswm angenrheidiol ac yn adolygu’r ffïoedd cyfatebol er mwyn i’r Clwb barhau’n
weithredol. Mae hefyd yn trefnu ceisiadau ar gyfer grantiau nawdd fydd yn codi’r Clwb yn ôl ar ei draed.
Mae Leanne hefyd yn hapus i gynnal y Clwb ar nosweithiau Mawrth ond fyddai angen iddi wybod os oes
galw am y gwasanaeth yma. Trafodwch gyda Leanne (mam Ffion Rogers), Emma Jones (mam Euan ac Isla)
neu Michelle (mam Ffion a Carys Phillips), neu unrhyw aelod o’r staff os gwelwch yn dda.
* Gofynnodd Mrs Thomas ar ran Mr Lemon, os fyddai’r GRhA yn fodlon ystyried cyfrannu tuag at gost
gweithdy Marc Griffiths (Radio Cymru) a’r gweithdy ail-gylchu sy’n cael eu cynnal yn yr ysgol ym mis
Mawrth. Teimla’r GRhA eu bod yn weithgareddau allgyrsiol gwerth chweil sy’n cynnwys sgiliau diddorol
ymarferol ac o’r herwydd fe fyddai’r GRhA yn hapus i dalu’r swm llawn o £750.

* Yn ogystal, gofynnodd Mrs Thomas i rieni am gyfraniadau i’w dosbarth yn cynnwys doliau, teganau
anifeiliaid, pyrsiau, bagiau, dillad babi, dillad “gwisgo-lan” (heb fod yn fflamadwy os gwelwch yn dda) a
llyfrau i holl ystod gallu’r ysgol. Mrs Thomas i ofyn i Mr Lemon i roi neges arall mas ar “app” yr ysgol i rieni.
* Gwnaeth Sioned Lewis grybwyll menter “Bags for School.” Fydd Mrs Thomas yn rhoi cyfarwyddyd i
Gyngor yr Ysgol i drefnu.
* Trafodwyd dyddiad ar gyfer y Bingo Pasg. Penderfynwyd ar nos Iau yr 2ail o Ebrill. Sioned i ofyn i “Tan y
Castell” am rodd o Bice-ar-y-Maen ar gyfer y noson. Byddwn yn gofyn i rieni roi Wyau-Pasg a chacennau ar
gyfer stondin gacennau ar y noson. Ni fyddwn yn gofyn am wobrau raffl, yn hytrach byddwn yn gofyn i
gwmnïau am roddion. Os oes unrhyw riant yn gwybod am gwmnïau y gellid gofyn iddynt gyfrannu i’r achos
rhowch wybod i’r GRhA neu staff yr ysgol. Bydd Jemma yn llunio llythyr yn gofyn am gyfraniadau geith ei
drosglwyddo i’r ysgol i’w ddosbarthu. Ni fydd twba-lwcus, ond yn hytrach bydd Helfa Wyau-Pasg i’r plant,
codir £1 i gymryd rhan. Michelle i ymchwilio’r gost o greu bwrdd hysbysebu Bingo. Mae croeso i’r holl blant
a’u rhieni i fynychu a chefnogi’r noson. Y nosweithiau yma sy’n codi arian i’r ysgol er mwyn prynu offer i’r
ysgol nad yw cyllideb yr ysgol yn ymestyn iddynt. Mae’r gyllideb yma’n cael ei gwtogi o flwyddyn i flwyddyn
felly mae’r holl roddion/nawdd, cyfraniadau a chefnogaeth i’r gweithgareddau yma yn angenrheidiol. Nid
oes raid i chi hoffi bingo!!! Er hynny, os oes gan unrhywun syniadau yr hoffent rannu ar sut i godi arian yna
naill ai dewch i’r cyfarfod CRhA neu rannwch y syniadau yna gyda’r staff neu rieni eraill sy’n bwriadu
mynychu’r cyfarfod. Croesewir pob syniad.
* Buddsoddwyd mewn seinchwyddwr i’r ysgol.
* Sarah Roberts i ysgrifennu llythyr o ddiolch (hwyr) i Mike Fussell am ei gyfraniad i’r GRhA.
* Bydd Mrs Thomas yn mynychu’r ysgol yn ystod gwyliau’r Pasg er mwyn tacluso amryw o bethau. Bydd y
dyddiad ar “app” yr ysgol gydag unrhyw waith arall sydd angen ei wneud ar dir yr ysgol, er enghraifft
atgyweirio’r gerddi llysiau. Croesewir unrhyw gyfraniad/help llaw gan rieni. Bydd gwybodaeth yn dilyn ar ôl
trafod gydag aelodau eraill o’r staff.
* Bydd digwyddiad codi arian yr haf yn cyfuno Ffair Haf a Thwmpath allanol. Fe fydd yn cynnwys dawnsio,
barbeciw, gemau a stondinau. Dyddiad i’w gadarnhau. Croesewir syniadau.
* Mae’r GRhA yn dal i chwilio am Drysorydd i gymryd lle Sioned. Cynorthwywch os yn bosib, os gwelwch
yn dda.

Diolchodd Michelle i bawb oedd yn bresennol a daeth â’r cyfarfod i ben.

Fydd y cyfarfod nesaf yn cael ei gynnal ar y 30ain o Fai. Croeso i bawb.

Ysgol Beca PTA Meeting
13 February 2020

Minutes of Meeting

Present: Mrs Thomas, Michelle Phillips, Jemma Vickers, Rhodri John, Sioned Lewis, Sarah Roberts, Jenny
Barney-Griffiths, Catherine Griffiths, Kay Mathias, Leanne Dunn and Sera Johnson.
Apologies: Menna Evans, Sarah Wheeler, Kim Dearden, Kelly Rowlands, Joanne Williams-Parker, Suzanne
Dearden, Marianne Froom, Judith Watson, Kim Davies, Catherine Griffiths and Jennifer Lye.

Michelle welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for coming.

ITEMS DISCUSSED:

* Eisteddfod will not be held jointly with Ysgol Bro Brynach this year. Kay Mathias will organise tea and
coffee for the day.
* Aldi stickers were discussed but the conclusion was that the chart had not been filled in order to enter
the competition.
* Christmas Bingo was a success, raising just over £900. Thank you to all parents and staff who contributed
to the night’s success.
* Michelle and Leanne brought up the current issues concerning Clwb Beca, the school’s after-school-club
held on Mondays and Wednesdays. As things stand the Club is in financial difficulty. Due to wages rising to
meet minimum wage but the fees not going up, plus the small amount of Christmas holiday being paid out,
the Club cannot currently pay Leanne’s wages, nor any staff wages in February. In the past, the raffle money
from Bingo evenings have been donated to Clwb Beca. It is not something that usually retrospectively
happens but on this occasion the PTA agreed that we would donate £100 from the Christmas Bingo evening
to the Club. In addition to this the PTA agreed that a loan to pay the wages would be arranged. Leanne will
look into the full amount necessary and will recalculate fees accordingly in order for the Club to remain
functioning. She is also organising applications for funding grants which will put the Club back on track.
Leanne is also happy to run the Club on a Tuesday evening too but would need to know if any parents would
be interested in this service. Please speak to Leanne (Ffion Rogers’ mum), Emma Jones (Euan and Isla’s
mum) or Michelle (Ffion and Carys Phillips’ mum), or any member of staff.
* Mrs Thomas has asked, on behalf of Mr Lemon, whether the PTA would consider contributing to the cost
of the Marc Griffiths (Radio Cymru) workshop and the recycling workshop that have been booked in to be
held in March. The PTA felt that as it would be a worthwhile break from school work and involves some
interesting practical skills, the PTA are happy to fund it fully at the cost of £750.

* Mrs Thomas also asked parents for donations to her class such as dolls, animal toys, purses, bags, baby
clothes, dressing up clothes (no flammable ones please) and books for all reading abilities throughout the
school. Mrs Thomas to ask Mr Lemon to put another message out on the “app” for parents.
* Sioned Lewis brought up the subject of “Bags for School.” Mrs Thomas to instruct School Council to
organise.
* A date for Easter Bingo was discussed. Thursday 2nd April 2020 was decided on. Sioned to ask “Tan Y
Castell” for a donation of welsh cakes for the evening. We will ask parents to donate Easter-Eggs and cakes
for the cake stall for the evening. We will not ask for raffle prizes, instead we will ask companies to donate.
Any parents who know of any companies they could ask that may donate to the cause would be fantastic. A
letter for contributions will be written by Jemma and sent to the school for distribution. There will be no
lucky dip, but instead an Easter-Egg Hunt for the children, paying £1 to join in. Michelle to look into getting
a Bingo advertising board made up. All parents and children are welcome to come and support the evening.
It is these evenings that raise money for the school to buy equipment for the school that the school budget
does not cover. Each year this budget gets tighter and tighter so all donations, contributions and support for
these events are essential. It is not necessary for you to like bingo!!! That said, if anyone has any fundraising
ideas they would like to share then please either come to the PTA meeting or pass on those ideas to staff or
other parents planning on coming to the meeting. All ideas welcomed.
* An amplifier has been bought for the school.
* Sarah Roberts to write a (late) letter to thank Mike Fussell for his PTA contributions.
* Mrs Thomas will be attending the school in the Easter holidays for a clean-up of various things. The date
will be on the “app” with any other jobs that need doing on the grounds, such as the repair of the raised
vegetable beds. Any parent contribution would be most welcome. Information to follow after discussing
with other staff members.
* Future summer fundraising will be combining the School Fete with an outdoor Twmpath. This will involve
dancing, b-b-q, games and stalls. Date to be confirmed. Ideas welcome.
* The PTA are still looking for a treasurer to replace Sioned. Please help if you can.

Michelle thanked everyone for attending and closed the meeting.

The next meeting will be held on the 30th of May. All welcome.
