desire from certified farmer’s markets throughout Philadelphia.

For the convenience of our members, vouchers can be used at local FATHER’S DAY PROGRAM 15
produce markets in the area. A list of participating vendors will be
included with your vouchers.

Advance Meal Reservation

Eligible persons who wish to participate in the
Congregate Meal Program at the Center must use
the Advance Meal Reservation which is available
on the touch screen. Meals must be reserved one
(1) week in advance, usually by Tuesday 10:00 am
Alternate Meals are available Wednesdays and
Thursdays. Members who have NOT reserved a
meal in advance (at least one week ahead) may leave
their names on the Meal Waiting List for that day.
This list is compiled on a first come, first served
basis. If by 11:40 am meals ARE available, the Meal
Waiting List will be utilized.

The kitchen needs to have a final lunch count no later
than 11:45 am. You must be present to register for
the Meal Waiting List. Whether registered or on the
waiting list, you must be counted before 11:45 am.
Please remember that when you opt for Meal
Waiting, there is no guarantee that there will be
lunch available. Thank You!

In-Home Support
Program

What does the program offer?

The In-Home Support Program (IHSP) provides
NO COST support services through local senior
centers to individuals 60 and older. Services help
prevent or postpone further decline and promote
independence and help the individual gain control.
Individuals receive services delivered in the home,
as well as counseling and assistance with accessing
benefits and entitlements.

What services can IHSP provide?

• Home-delivered meals, transportation, and
senior companionship for as long as these
services are needed.

• Help with household tasks (cleaning, shopping,
meal preparation) for up to 6 months.

• Personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting)
for up to 4 weeks if criteria is met.

One-time or occasional assistance with:

• Heavy cleaning
• Extermination
• Home repairs
• Counseling and assistance with accessing

benefits and entitlements

Who is eligible?

Individuals who are age 60 and older who are
temporarily homebound (unable to safely leave
home without personal assistance or supervision)
due to mental or physical illness, disability, frailty, or
extreme weather conditions.

Eligibility is not based on individual or
household income.
