Arabic International Benchmark Test, which is outstanding as per KHDA
benchmarks. 19 students achieved outstanding results with 3 Honors,
4 High Distinctions and 12 Distinctions.

Students outperformed their TIMSS Targets consistently in
ASSET 2017 & 2018 –Math and Science.

The school moved up 14 parameters in DSIB 2017
Inspection. Our teachers and leaders have worked very
diligently on curriculum mapping and in benchmarking the
school’s CBSE curriculum to high performing TIMSS
international curriculum. The positive impact is evident
not only on improved student outcomes in ASSET, but also
in the school curriculum being adjudged as Good.

National Agenda parameters met. Excerpts from the DSIB 2017
inspection report:

“The development and provision of a broad curriculum across the
school which has helped to improve student's attainment” - DSIB-
2017.

“Attainment as indicated by the National Agenda Parameter (N.A.P)
benchmarks is above expectations in mathematics and meets
expectations in English and Science” -DSIB-2017.

Grade 9 approval by KHDA reflects the faith
that they have on the SIS fraternity.

Art, Karate, Drama, Zumba, Music, Sports across the school and purposeful
play-based learning in the Kindergarten provide our students with hands on
concrete learning experiences that build the foundations of better physical
health, well-being, happiness, and most importantly the joy of life-long
learning.

The energetic Sports days and Imaginative Concerts witnessed 100 %
participation of students amazing us with their creativity and talents on the
field and stage.

The SIS Innovation Camp

Students across the school engaged in innovative learning ventures across all
subjects deepening their spirit of discovery and promoting enquiry. Students
explored a wide range of learning experiences from nurturing pets and sensorial
messy play to thought provoking vedic mathematics, Scientists of the day, coding
and flying drones.

The Problem Based Learning and hands on construction projects in
the STREAM Labs ensure integration of Science, Technology,
Research, Engineering, Art and Math and engage students in design
thinking to solve local and global problems. The impact is evident in
SIS STEM Teams winning the award for Best Project Presentation and
Best Team Work First LEGO League -Inter-School Competition
wherein 40 schools and 105 teams participated.

As part of the ‘Year of Giving’, and with a view to bringing joy to
the millions of children of war and refugee children in the
world, the students of SIS led the ‘Children for Children’
campaign – a unique celebration of the Indian and Universal
Children’s day, on 20th November, 2017, under the patronage
of the Consulate General of India and in association with Red
Crescent, Dubai.

His Excellency - Vipul, Consul General of India, Dubai; Mr. Pankaj Bodkhe, Consul
(Education), Robin Singh, Ex-Indian Cricketer and Coach, Al Najah Board
Members, Principals and more than 300 student representatives from various
schools in the UAE gathered on SIS grounds demonstrating their solidarity to
this noble cause.

The Children of Sabari reached out to the children of the other schools in the UAE
and garnered the support of children, for children and by children to contribute
cartons toys, books, clothes, jackets, blankets and other essential goods to Red
Crescent for the children refugees of the world.

The Year of Giving – The students, staff and parents of SIS donated AED 10,000 to
Dubai Cares through the SIS Carnival of Giving. The entire SIS community and the
wider Dubai Community collaborated to create moments of joy and togetherness,
so that they could build schools for needy children in the world through Dubai
Cares.

75% of SIS teachers earned their Apple Teacher badges

Skillful Governance

All of this would not be possible without the strong support of the
CEO Mr. Raza Khan, Director- Mr. Kenneth Jones, Head of Indian
Schools- Ms. Karan Brown and the board of governors who worked
very closely with us. This has been rightly appreciated by KHDA in
the recent inspections with Governance moving up to a Good.

“The school is supported very well by a skilled board of governors”
– DSIB 2017.

Engaged Parents:

Thank you parents for being an integral part of festivities
such as Diwali, Christmas, Eid or the carnival and other
charity events. It is only because of your generous
contributions to the Carnival of Giving that we were able to
donate AED 10,000 to Dubai Cares to build schools for the
needy children.

Thank you for visiting our lessons and giving us feedback.

Thank you parents, staff and students for this amazing
learning journey in 2017 -2018

Welcoming you aboard to embark on another dynamic
