Wesleyan was founded in 1956 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina,
by the Methodist church. In 2015, Wesleyan was recognized
as the fastest growing small college in North Carolina by NC
Independent Colleges & Universities, and we are working to keep

Life is full of challenges. Your NC Wesleyan experience is designed to expand
your thinking, build your confidence, and help you grow to be all you can be.
We offer 27 majors including Business, Exercise Science, Education, and
Criminal Justice … each rooted in a traditional liberal arts foundation.
Our faculty is determined to help each student succeed and with a 15:1 student-
to-faculty ratio, personal attention is automatic. We develop customized success
plans with Bishop Benchmarks to help track your development. A variety of
internship opportunites, peer tutoring, and career planning are available for
every NC Wesleyan student.

Teamwork is the name of the game at NC Wesleyan. As a competitive member
of the USA South Athletic Conference - Division III, we provide opportunities for
active, sports-minded students to compete, grow, and excel, both athletically
and academically.

With well-equipped training facilities, coaches that care, and a winning tradition
that includes two college World Series championships, the Wesleyan athletic
program is a force to be reckoned with in Division III.

NC Wesleyan is a thriving college community with a diverse and growing
student body. We have more than 25 student organizations, intramural
sports, and dozens of clubs and activities ranging from fitness class to
choir. Go Greek, participate in Student Government, or hang out at
Wild Out Wednesday. There are plenty of options to occupy your
time and expand your horizons.

Meet and make new friends at the Hartness Center, the student union
with heart! It’s a great place to gather for music, TV, ping pong, pool,
and a quick meal or snack.

Burn calories, build muscle, and put your pacemaker through its paces
in the Taylor Center. Our multi-faceted fitness center is a fun and active
place for students of all fitness levels.

Merit Scholarships

Wesleyan offers a generous number of renewable scholarships to freshmen
who have demonstrated academic achievement and a solid ability to
succeed. All of Wesleyan’s merit scholarships are annual and renewable.

Applying for Financial Aid

To be considered for need-based grants and loans at Wesleyan, you must
submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.gov.
Be sure to include Wesleyan’s Federal School Code of 002951.
