The impact these donations will make in our community are immeasurable.

We were overwhelmed by the PHILANTHROPY
generosity of everyone who
donated to our holiday giving Holiday Giving Recap

programs! Thanksgiving Meals

Through donations at our Love Fund Auction in October, and
additional help from CWC Corporate and regular members,
we were able to fill Thanksgiving tables for those in need
in our local area. We filled a SUV from front to back with
groceries and delivered 50 complete meals to A Safe Place and
hams, turkeys and additional items to Mount Saint Joseph in
Lake Zurich. They were overwhelmed by our generosity. . .all
made possible by our supporters!

A Safe Place Kids

We partnered with Libertyville Gymnastics and The Gents Place
(in Deer Park) for gifts for this local shelter. They collected so
many toys and books that they filled an entire Chevy Suburban
from the front seat all the way to the back.

Thank you for your help!

Lake County Haven Women

How about a new pair of winter boots and winter coat as a perfect
gift for this season? Through a detailed sign-up that CWC
coordinated, generous local residents were able to provide
these to Lake County Haven. . .all selected in the correct sizes
specific to each individual on the list. CWC would not be able
to provide these gifts without the generous giving of our local
supporters. . .thank you very much for thinking of others this
past holiday season.

AND. . .Annual Shoe Box Project and
Adopt-a-Family

Holiday shoe boxes were decorated and filled with gifts
for children in local shelters. And we were very gratified
to have ALL of the members on our “Adopt-a-Family”
list taken and the requested items shopped for, wrapped
and delivered in time to make their holiday a little
brighter.

SCHOLARSHIP In the spring, CWC rewards an outstanding high school graduate who
PROGRAM has demonstrated a history of service to the community with a $3,000
scholarship towards tuition and provides as many additional scholarships as
possible. In spring of 2019, we awarded a total of $5,000 in scholarships to
five deserving area high school seniors.

With a donation of $3,000 or more, the scholarship will be named after
you or your organization. We think this is a great way to show your support
for education and the community and assist in the educational goals of a
deserving local student. You may donate to the scholarship online at any
time on the CWC website.
