FINDING YOUR PASSION

It seems that in just about every high school or college
commencement address the speaker challenges the
graduates to go out into the world, make it a better
place, and find their passion to do so. Several of our
BMC graduates have done just that by combining a love
for food and business acumen and opening their own
eating establishments.

CREATING WITH FAITH

Wednesday of Holy Week, our students were blessed with a unique opportunity of prayer. World renowned Catholic painter,
Rob Surette, inspired our students through his art. He painted four large canvases, each taking only five or less minutes to complete.
Students were amazed at the images of Jesus and Blessed Mother Teresa which were created before their eyes.

After the performance, students gathered around Rob to
hear his stories of perseverance and celebrating the gifts
God had given him. He encouraged each student to do
the same, recognizing the unique gifts within each of them.

Joe but a sincerely humble reminder to us of the potential we
all have (no matter how young) to profoundly affect the very
lives of those around us. Joe’s death while irrefutably painful
for all, galvanized our community. We soon recognized
how significant this young man’s life was to not only Joe’s
immediate family and friends but to anyone who encountered
him or his story.

Throughout Joe’s battle with cancer, teammates, coaches
and friends showed unwavering support for him, but it was
actually Joe that gave us all the ultimate gift - the ability to
see God though his actions and words.
