Obituary

Loving Memories of Patricia Ann Deloney Brown

Patricia or “Pat” as she was more affectionately known as was

born in Hope, Arkansas on March 6, 1953 to Dan and Leatrice
Brown. She was the third and youngest of their three children.

The Family relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1957. Pat

was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church where she accepted
Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age. Pat attended
75th Street Elementary school, Bret Hart Jr. High and graduated
from Fremont High in 1972, all in Los Angeles.

Pat spent the last 20 years living in Oakland, California where

she called home. On Monday, September 15, 2014, Pat closed her
eyes forever and went to be with the Lord.

Left to cherish Pat’s memory is her two sons, Marlon Butler of

Los Angeles, California, Malcolm Witherow of Las Vegas, Neva-
da, one sister Carolyn Cooks of Henderson, Nevada, one brother
Ray Phil Shaw of Los Angeles, California, one daughter in law
Dara Wright Butler of Los Angeles, California, one brother in law,
Lawrence Cooks of Henderson, Nevada, 3 nieces, Bridget Brown of
Inglewood, California, Kimberly Cooks of Henderson, Nevada and
Kimberly Shaw of Moreno Valley, California, 1 nephew Lawrence
Cooks Jr. of Henderson, Nevada, 2 granddaughters Champayne
Thomas of Hesperia, California, Ayanna Wright Coleman of Los
Angeles, 2 grandsons Malcolm Witherow Jr. and Devonte Withe-
row, 1 great grandson, Carter, 3 aunts, 8 great nieces and nephews
and a host of other relatives.

Finally at peace, Pat was laid to rest on Wednesday, October 8,

2014 at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California surrounded by
her loving family.

Memories

who prayed for us, comforted us, or thought of us during this very

difficult time.
