MESSAGE

The New Membership orientation program is one of the most Important &
Interested program in toastmasters as it is providing new members all information
needed to progress in their toastmaster’s journey, I would like to congratulate
those who have already signed up the Toastmasters Membership Application,
wishing them fabulous and fruitful journey. Generally, the journey of toastmaster
never comes to an ends, as soon as a millstone is accomplished the soonest
another milestone begins and that is the beauty of toastmasters international.

We are all have joined toastmasters for one reason or another, with an objective
of improving our communication and leadership skills which all started with the
first project the “Ice Breaker Project” the first role we took in a meeting, the first
leadership role we held in our clubs but this journey continues and we continue
to grow and improve.

The progress we make in our communication and leadership skills definitely will
empower us to achieve our full potential and realize our dreams such find the
courage to change and in order to progress well; we must understand fully the
flying opportunities available in toastmaster movement and make full use of it.

When I joined Toastmasters NMOP gave me a chance to understand the full
gamut and advantages of communcation, leadership and the wonderful world
of Toastmastering.Those memories of NMOP session still linger in my mind
with never ending gratefulness for the organizer then...

Learning never ends and each time there is a new experience. Every
educational program conducted by the Divisions enlighten us and make our
path worth travelling. Moving water never gathers dead log or fern... this
quote makes it all the more necessary for the new as well as the experienced
Toastmasters to gain from the NMOP being organised under the chairperonship

of TM Nasreen. I am sure all the Clubs on the island of Bahrain have encouraged their new
and existing members to attend this educational program. My best wishes to the organizing
committee in making this a healthy learning experience...

Greetings! Welcome to New Member Orientation Program (NMOP) 2017.
According to Aristotle ““He who cannot be a good follower cannot be a good
leader.” Basic objective of NMOP is to connect the leaders of today with leaders
of tomorrow. So follow the leaders of today to be the leader of tomorrow.

Toastmaster is the right platform to learn, speak and lead. That is the reason
John Kennedy said “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”
As our Division K Theme is “Keen to Kindle the knowledge” I request everybody
to be keen to learn, speak and lead.

Congratulations! Today indeed is another milestone for all Bahrain Toastmasters
who attended NMOP 2017. I strongly believe that Education is not preparation
for life; education is life itself. The more you learn the more you gain. For
the Toastmasters and the Clubs, with a mission for quality and value added
approaches, NMOP is a solid foundation . We are very fortunate to belong to
this great moment that helps to provide path for the new members to grow

I am a leader - and I was made

I wasn’t born a leader. They were all around me though. In the community, at work, at school.
Leaders were everywhere They were the heads of families, coaches of teams, business leaders,
mentors, organizational decision-makers.

I admired these leaders. They influenced who I was and who I was becoming. Whatever they did
professionally or how they became what they were, I aspired to walk in their footsteps.
And, so, I committed myself to becoming one.

Finally, it came to me. It wasn’t just what leaders knew that enabled them to lead. They had a
voice. They could tell their story They could listen and answer. They didn’t just accomplish, they
communicated.

So I set out to find my voice. Learn to process information on my toes. I needed to learn to listen.
Learn to give feedback — and accept it. I needed to organize, plan, deliver, follow up. I needed a
place where all the ingredients were there, and someone would guide me along the way.

I found that place. I found a community of learners and the path to leadership.
