Sorry we could not make it, but VOTE BY MAIL
we are with you in spirit.
What’s the Big Deal?
Craig Econopouly
Judy Kersch Vote By Mail has become increasingly popular following the long
Deanna Rush lines of voters in several Florida counties during the 2008 election
and grew increasingly worse in the 2012 election. It has been called
by many names – absentee ballots; vote at home; vote in your paja-
mas; vote naked.

Recent changes that may affect you:
● Vote By Mail request are effective through 12/31 of two Gen-
eral Election cycles. If you requested a Vote By Mail Ballot
prior to the 2010 General Election, you will need to re-enroll in
the Vote By Mail program. Your request has expired.
● If you want your Vote By Mail ballot to be mailed to an ad-
dress other than the address on file with the county Supervisor
of Elections office, then that request must be in writing with
your matched signature. This will affect students and snow-
birds especially.
● The last day to request a Vote By Mail ballot is six days before
an election. However, there are special provisions for ballots
to be picked up on or before election day.
● There are several ways to enroll in the Vote By Mail program:
1. Online – www.charlottevotes.com – complete the re-
quest for Vote By Mail for all elections.
2. Mail – complete a form that is available from the Super-
visor of Elections office or at Democrat Headquarters.
You may also fax the completed form to 941-833-5422
or hand deliver it to the office.
3. Telephone – call 941-833-5400 to request your own
Vote By Mail Ballot and that of other household mem-
bers by providing the requested information.

PICK UP YOUR APPLICATION TO VOTE BY MAIL TONIGHT

● AVOID THE UNPLEASANT CONVERSATIONS WHILE IN
LINE

● END THE CALLS URGING YOU TO PLEASE VOTE
● USE THAT TIME TO HELP THOSE WHO MAY NEED THE

ENCOURGEMENT OR A RIDE TO VOTE DURING EARLY
VOTING OR ON ELECTION DAY
