Branding
Let's talk branding!
Let's talk brand identity and branding and how we, TMC Virtual Office
Management, can may YOUR life less complicated.
What is brand identity?
Think of your brand identity as a puzzle. Individual interlocking pieces such as
visual elements, name, anything that sets you apart from other companies, that
come together giving your prospective clients/customers the bigger picture. Each
company builds their own brand identity (puzzle) and they do this according to
how they wish to be perceived and what value they bring to prospective clients.
Whereas the brand image, is how your prospective clients actually perceive your
company, the feeling they get when interacting with your company. A favourite
quote by Scott Cook is - "A brand is no longer what we say it is, but what the
customers tell each other it is. Bringing all the pieces of the puzzle together,
builds strong brand recognition, loyalty and sets you apart in a competitive
market and, a way of doing this is through BRANDING!
"A brand is no longer what we say it is, but
what the customers tell each other it is."
- Scott Cook
how to build brand identity?
Building a strong identity requires a cohesive, consistent approach, where all
those interlocking puzzle pieces come together and support your brand
image. What are your business goals, how do you hope to achieve them
taking into consideration your target audience/market. A favourite of ours is
the "WHAT, WHY, WHERE and HOW approach. WHAT does your company
stand for? What is your WHY? WHERE are your prospective clients and HOW
do you aim to communicate your brand's personality and what it is you have
to offer them? All these questions!
Ask yourself this....
What does my company stand for?
Why did I start this company?
What makes me stand out from my competitors?
Who are my prospective clients, what are they looking for and where
can they be found?
What is my brands personality?
What voice and tone does my brand have?
What do I want my prospective clients to FEEL when they interact
with my brand?
Once you have answered the above questions you will have a better
understanding and the knowledge to start on the visual aspects, image
and appeal of your brand
now, what are the visual
aspects of your brand?
Taking into consideration the above questions, the below should represent how
you wish to be perceived.
