VAIL SISTERHOOD EXCHANGE DELEGATION MEMBERS

Mr. Dave Chapin | Mayor of Vail
Mr. Dave Chapin is serving his second term as Mayor of Vail which will extend
to 2019. Mayor Chapin has been a member of the Vail community for more
than 30 years after moving to Vail from upstate New York in the early 1980s.
He is a partner in Vendettas restaurant and bar in Vail Village, the longtime
gathering place for the Vail ski patrol and Vail ski school. Mr. Chapin currently
chairs the Vail Parking and Transportation Task Force, is a representative
for the Colorado Association of Ski Towns (CAST) and has given back to the
community with his service as a member of the Vail Commission on Special
Events and the Vail Local Licensing Authority.

Ms. Jenn Bruno | Vail Mayor Pro Tem
Ms. Jenn Bruno began her second term as Mayor Pro Tem in Vail following
the last municipal election in November 2017. She has worked in the snow-
sports industry, first at the Colorado Ski Museum and later as Hospitality
Director for the Jeep King of the Mountain Ski and Snowboard Race Series.
She currently owns two clothing stores in Vail Village. Ms. Bruno serves on
the Eagle County Regional Transportation Authority, the Vail Local Marketing
District Advisory Council and is an active volunteer for Bravo! Vail as well as
other community events and organizations.

Mr. Travis Coggin | Vail Town Council Member
Mr. Travis Coggin is serving his first term as a Vail Town Council member.
He has been involved with real estate planning, brokerage, development and
construction in addition to being a member of the Vail Ski Patrol since 2005.
Mr. Coggin will serve on the Bravo! Vail Board as well as the Vail Economic
Advisory Council. He is an active volunteer throughout the community and
has been on the board of the Vail Valley Young Professionals since its inception
and served as the organization’s president from 2014-2017.

Ms. Kim Langmaid | Vail Town Council Member
Ms. Kim Langmaid has been a member of the Vail Town Council since 2015.
She created the Gore Range Natural Science School in 1998 that has since
evolved into the Walking Mountains Science Center. She currently serves
as the center’s Vice President, Director of Sustainability and Stewardship
Programs. In addition to her roles at Walking Mountains, she has held positions
as the first Colorado Program Director for the National Forest Foundation; the
Graduate Program Director for Teton Science Schools in Jackson Hole,
Wyoming; and as a faculty member in the Prescott College Master of Arts
Program in Environmental Studies and the Colorado Mountain College
Sustainability Studies Bachelor of Arts program where she taught courses
in social entrepreneurship, systems thinking and sustainability leadership.

Ms. Jen Mason | Vail Town Council Member
Ms. Jen Mason was elected to a four-year term on the Town Council in 2015
following her first candidacy for public office. Ms. Mason’s presence in the
community has touched both residents and guests. In her role as Director of
Operations for the Vail Valley Foundation, she led efforts to coordinate the
2,000-plus volunteers that came together to welcome the world during the
FIS 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships. She has also been a fixture at the
Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in her operations role with the Vail Valley Foundation.
Ms. Mason serves on the Vail Recreation District subcommittee, the Betty
Ford Alpine Garden Foundation and the Town’s Parking and Transportation
Task Force.

Mr. Greg Clifton | Vail Town Manager
Mr. Greg Clifton is the newly-appointed Town Manager for Vail, overseeing
a budget of $65 million and over 300 full-time equivalent employees. His
background lies largely in municipal service, consisting of 23 years of
experience in law and management on the Western Slope of Colorado. Previous
positions held by Mr. Clifton include City Attorney for Montrose, Colorado;
City Attorney for Ouray, Colorado; Town Manager for Ridgway, Colorado; and
Town Manager for Telluride, Colorado. Mr. Clifton served as President of the
Colorado Municipal League in 2001; received the City and County Manager
of the Year award presented by the Colorado City and County Managers
Association in 2012; and oversaw the successful formulation of the City of
Ouray Home Rule Charter in 2009.

Ms. Patty McKenny | Vail Town Clerk
Ms. Patty McKenny has served in local government for 28 years, working with
elected officials and town managers throughout her career in the Colorado
mountain resort communities of Minturn, Silverthorne, Avon and Vail. This
has included oversight of many administrative functions within the resort
municipalities, including management of the Clerk’s Office, Human Resources,
Community Relations, Municipal Court and the Town Manager’s Office. Ms.
McKenny has been with the Town of Vail for four years in her role as Town
Clerk. Her collaboration with Vail’s Economic Development Office has helped
grow Vail’s Sisterhood relationships in recent years. Her role as Town Clerk
involves the tracking and coordination of many Town Council business matters.

Mr. Greg Hall | Public Works & Transportation Director
Mr. Greg Hall is the Director of Public Works and Transportation for the Town
of Vail. He has been with the Town of Vail since 1989. Significant projects
and programs Mr. Hall has been involved with in Vail include construction of
North America’s first roundabout interchange as well as a multi-million-dollar,
multi-year streetscape improvement project that combined significant utility
upgrades, streetscape beatification and heated pavement for snowmelting of
the commercial core villages of Vail. On a regional and statewide level, Mr.
Hall is the immediate past president of the Colorado Chapter of the American
Public Works Association. He is a founding member of both the Intermountain
Transportation Planning Region and the Interstate-70 Coalition. Mr. Hall was
involved with the first statewide transportation plan and has participated in
every update since. He has served on the Colorado High Speed Rail Study as
well as the I-70 Advanced Guideway System study and the I-70 Programmatic
Environmental Impact Study and Record of Decision.

Ms. Mia Vlaar | Economic Development Director
Ms. Mia Vlaar serves as Economic Development Director for the Town of Vail.
Ms. Vlaar joined the Town in December 2017. Her work in business
development and marketing has included corporate, government, technology
and non-profit sectors. She most recently served as Director of Sales and
Marketing for East West Destination Hospitality, a property and vacation rental
management company. In her role leading the Town of Vail’s economic
development office, Ms. Vlaar is responsible for marketing, research and
special events initiatives with the goal of retaining and attracting business to
Vail and growing its year-round economy.

Ms. Kristen Bertuglia | Environmental Sustainability Manager
In her role as Environmental Sustainability Manager for the Town of Vail, Ms.
Kristen Bertuglia strives to inspire positive environmental change through her
personal and professional life. Her focus has spanned different aspects of
environmental stewardship over the years including the creation of
environmental policy, protection of natural habitats, emissions reductions,
alternative transportation solutions, community gardens, education, alternative
energy and energy efficiency. She serves on the Board of Directors for Walking
Mountains Science Center, Holy Cross Energy and the Institute for Environmental
Solutions. She is a steering committee member of the Compact of Colorado
Communities and Colorado Communities for Climate Action, and is a founding
member of Snowriders International. Locally, Ms. Bertuglia spearheads key
environmental initiatives in the Vail Valley in 6 goal areas: waste, energy,
ecosystem health, social and economic development, public education and
transportation. She was instrumental in leading Vail to become the first
Certified Sustainable Destination in the United States and a 2017 Top 100
Sustainable Destination in the world. She manages the Restore the Gore program
to improve water quality and enhance the fragile Gore Creek ecosystem.
