Northern Cape

Eastern Cape The company employs 60 people in offices in Zambia, Tanzania,
Botswana, Zimbabwe, Ghana and Lesotho. In addition to significant
Western Cape assignments in these countries, the company has completed or is
working on projects in Mozambique, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, the
Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, and most recently Uganda
and Liberia.


The five core service areas are Transportation, Water and Sanitation, Structures, Infrastructure Planning and
Management Services. Division heads of these areas of expertise provide oversight on large technically complex
projects and ensure that the company is properly resourced and at the forefront of emerging engineering innovation.


Mariswe is considered a leader in integrated transportation services throughout the infrastructure
life cycle from concept and design to operation and maintenance. We employ highly qualified
professionals who deliver quality engineering solutions incorporating the latest global

Water and Sanitation

Mariswe’s comprehensive water engineering services span the abstraction, conveyance, storage
and drainage of raw, potable, treated and waste water. We have substantial experience in large
multidisciplinary water and wastewater treatment projects.


Analytical and design services are provided for civil, commercial, industrial, institutional,
health and residential structures, with expertise spanning a wide variety of structural forms
and material types.

Infrastructure Planning

Mariswe formulates strategic level multi-stakeholder plans for
the development and lifecycle management of infrastructure.
We offer socio-economic consulting services including local,
regional and sectoral economic development strategies,
economic spatial frameworks and economic and social
infrastructure audits.

Management Services

Our Project Management expertise covers infrastructure
assignments from inception to construction closure including
performance measurement. Programme Management incl-
udes managing multi-year infrastructure assignments for
public and private sector clients.

Niche and sector specific services

Mariswe has strong experience in agricultural, mining and
telecommunications infrastructure projects.

The firm’s home-grown Integrated Construction Unit (iCU)
contract, a risk management methodology suited to dynamic
project environments, has been widely adopted with much
success throughout southern Africa.
