What is Social Distancing?

Social Distancing is one of the most effective ways to avoid coronavirus infection. It simply means
avoiding crowded settings, mass gatherings and maintaining a 6-foot distance from others when possible.
We know that this may mean missing an event you’ve been looking forward to, or breaking your weekly
routine, but it will also protect you and those around you.
Northwell Health is built for situations just like this
and we’ll continue to share facts and tips in the
days to come. Because knowledge is contagious too.

Facts and guidelines related to coronavirus are constantly evolving. The facts contained here are Northwell’s best judgment at time of publication.

With a parade on the morning
of Saturday, May 16, the sports
community celebrated its senior
athletes, many of whose careers
at Mahopac High School were
cut short by the COVID-19
pandemic. After several practices,
the spring season was postponed
in mid-March and o cially can-
celed two weeks ago before any
games or matches were played.

e Class of 2020 athletes, rid-
ing in their cars, participated in
the mini parade, which began at
the Mahopac Middle School and
continued behind the bleachers to
the Mahopac High School tennis
court parking lot, where profes-
sional photos of the athletes and
their families were taken.

Athletes were encouraged to
show o their school spirit by
decorating cars, bringing signs
or banners, or wearing Mahopac
blue and gold.

More photos will be published
in next week’s issue.

To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can
appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using
the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle!
