MAHOPAC CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

 Superintendent of Schools
Anthony DiCarlo

May 30, 2020

Dear Mahopac Community,

As we notified you previously, the Governor has required that this year’s annual budget vote
and election be held via absentee ballot only. The District contracted with NTS to print and mail
its absentee ballots. On Friday, May 29th, we were notified that NTS has had a major supply
issue as it did not receive the shipment of envelopes it expected to receive last week. As a
result, the absentee ballots for many districts, including ours, have not yet been mailed out. We
have made the following arrangements to deliver an absentee ballot, and an oath envelope
with instructions to all registered voters:

● Ballots will be delivered to your mailbox Wednesday, June 3 through Saturday, June 6,
2020.

● Completed ballots can be dropped off at the District Office Lockbox anytime June 3rd
through June 8, 2020.

● On June 9, 2020 completed ballots can be dropped off at the Mahopac High School
Guard House between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm. All ballots must be received by 5:00 pm on
June 9, 2020.

If you, or anyone else in your household, meet the definition of a qualified voter, but have not
registered to vote, you are eligible to receive an absentee ballot and vote in the annual budget
vote and election. Please see information below:

● Qualified voters who are not registered can apply for absentee ballot on our website at:
https://www.mahopac.k12.ny.us/budget_information or contact our District Clerk at
[email protected]

● On June 8, 2020 ballots will be available to qualified voters who have completed the
absentee ballot application and turn it in at the Mahopac High School Guard House
between 1:00 and 5:00pm.

Sincerely yours,

Anthony DiCarlo

MAUREEN DALY the COVID-19 pandemic, but was nonetheless re-
spectfully observed by VFW 5491, American Legion
1080, and a small group of elected o cials and re-
men.

It began, without a parade, but with a service held
at Memorial Circle. VFW Commander Chris Long
opened the ceremony and acted as master of cere-
monies. Afterward, services were held at American
Legion Post 1080 and VFW 5491 with a roll call of
deceased members, followed by a patriotic boat pa-
rade on Lake Mahopac.

Additionally, the Putnam County Joint Veterans
Council, led by Karl Rhode and Art Hanley of the
county’s Department of Veteran A airs, put together
a caravan of military, police and re vehicles that mo-
tored through every Putnam County town, includ-
ing Mahopac, where it drove up Route 6N to Route
6 before passing Town Hall and down Croton Falls
Road and out of town.

To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can
appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using
the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle!
