Community Grants Report
March 2020
City of Belleville, Park Slide Replacement
Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund, $6,600,
Awarded 10/21/2019
Project Summary: The City of Belleville had a slide ruined after an ash
tree fell down during a windstorm and crushed the slide. We would
like to replace the 9’ long 30” tube slide.
Use of Funds: The City purchased a replacement tube slide for our
main City Park. We did all the installation in house and it looks great.
Impact & Results: After a wind storm blew a tree over in the park and
destroyed our biggest slide, we were trying to decide how to replace it
or what to do.
Thankfully the community foundation helped us purchase the
replacement slide. This will be well used by hundreds of children for
decades. Thanks so much!
USD 109, Purchase of Uniforms
Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund, $1,500,
Awarded 10/21/2019
Project Summary: Republic County High School Cheerleaders are requesting grant funding to purchase additional
pieces of current uniforms to complete a full squad of nine uniforms for the 2019-2020 High School Cheer Squad.
Use of Funds: The funds haven’t been spent. Varsity has been contacted. The additional uniforms will be ready
in a few months, yes a few months. Varsity moves at a different pace, since the quality of the uniform is more
substantial than other uniform companies.
Impact & Results: Uniforms have not been received. Varsity takes pride in their uniforms. Hopefully we will have the
uniforms by the end of the school year.
