Subjected (Short Film Script)

Subjected

Written by: Brian Gordon

An abstract short film about finding love, loving people and being loved as taken from the
standpoint of a dating single living in the city.

Scene 1 - You Sexy Ass Bitch
Nice ass cloths laid out, Man gets dressed, woman is naked in the room and watches solid as a
statue, he can see him, she right in front of her, brushing hair and putting on cologne, grins a
little and reaches into her personal space, she deflects him gently and strong. He takes it strong
and slowly his hand falls. He looks at her again.
<close up face shots, inviting to what’s going on, the background is misty dark and uninterest-
ing> He turns around - a man is standing there looking dapper. He appears on screen face first
garnering the main characters attention. The woman has walked away as the main character
turned around. This is viewable. The main character doesn’t appear to notice it.
The man says this to the main character up beside his face to his ear, this is done seamless and
quick: “You like an old woman keeping up with her soaps, all those sad ass stories & memories
of women you barely knew, (His face cracks) (A voice over narrative finishes the dialogue as the
main character pushes the man and harasses the man never actually hitting him but wrestling
with him and crying. “Some things in life you just got to be ready for, you really got time to
think of them all them bitches all the fucking time.” > in an exhausted creepy yelp he says “why
you coming at me like that man” < the man shoots the main character.>, The main character
falls and kneels, in his red hands he reveals a 3d printed version of himself kneeling.
Scene 2 - Dick Commander (Freestyle)
Toy Box Intercom Voice Over: You were just holding on to you, being truly uninterested, being
truly new, truly needing) (On screen 2 boxed of action figures) Main character voice over low:
“They were like collectables.”
The walking woman finds a place and sits with other women in wait. “You bought into us like
action figures, you were geeked out and alone. (Sound of a train in the city) (fades into sex
sounds) (he has a sensual relationship with the women like that of the embrace in scene “you
sexy ass bitch”, he fucks them and subtly leaves them with an agreement in which he goes away
and he women sit until the next time. There are insights to role playing. he whispers in her ear
something inaudible - The woman responds in a way that give insight to what was said such
as: “What’s the context? What is this episode about? or No.” She may respond with an action or
motion.
Scene 3 - Sunshine and Rainbows (Relief Scene)
Main Character (Attitude A) Description: Confident forward, long term vision.
<There is a little more background light in this scene, more interesting>
A woman has become forward and says: “What did you think life was about? Her tone strong
but questioning. (the character responds with a sense of implication that its this not the place
to build anything meaningful. Whether or not your perfect. How am I to know. Its too dark.)
He(Attitude A) responds by explaining: “There was something about this place, something in the
air. - I enjoyed the short walk to meet someone new, here.”
Scene 4 - You Fucking Creep (Filler Material)
<This is a sensual visual short that is woven throughout the film.>
Main Character Narrative: “It would mean too much but life would keep you touched.”
The Main Character (Attitude B) description: This deeply incredibly vulnerable, deeply intrigued,
meaningful, using, fortunate, shaking and like he’s watching real live porn he’s the star going
from woman to woman.
B is staring at a poster of a strong man himself with bug muscles photoshopped on, screenplay
dissolves around the characters attributes.
There are women sitting and standing on strong platforms, There are arrangements in which
they move in systemic ways that seem to make sense to the main character. They are cast in to
light or darkness at times by spotlight as characters interact. The women are pensive, solid, and
heavy. like statues. They are emotionally intact and agreeing, escaping and returning, playing
with B’s whims with a solid sense of humor about his existence, yet up saving him with only a
sense of foreseen autonomy. This is represented without significant attribute. B scurries
1

around and finds the butt of his own joke. His fails have full effect on him but not necessarily
form the women. when he comes to a revelation of his actions, he falls to the floor, ashamed of
how his humanity is represented. He’s invaluable and perfect. His words recede from dissen-
tious undertones. He is whisked into the light as though he was running for it. The women hold
him tight. he drinks up the love into something solid. A blackened thing of a monster breaking
apart all of the platforms simultaneously. He is solid in his found refuge amongst.

Scene 5 - Oh, you want to fight me punk?
<Fight based on a misunderstanding ensues, blurs in and out, a fight stirs> -- Narrative Charac-
ter (c) (Angry) says: “This is your life man”, “Who you gonna get caught as?”

which the narrative continues as. “A whole dream team dreaming for you right now, needing
to. He says: Who are you? She says: I know the answer to that. I saved you once remember,
<He’s on the beach, blurry focus in and out, it’s foreshadowing the scene “ Beautiful, Lake Loch-
ness> “I saw a glimpse of you. don’t hide in a cave. Come out to the beach, sit with me.”

Scene 6 - Lovers Gonna Luv
strikes accord. - why you coming at me man (emergency sirens) I wouldn’t have to tell you

scene) see if she’s something you like (lusty impression) .come on, You gotta kinda take this
thing as is, (gets depth) (locks door goes into bedroom. He lays there alone and gets up and

There is a strong stare off. both the man and woman are strong minded. Voice over narrative:
“ay uh what, anyone could do that shit, I don’t I’ve ever felt it work that way. I tried to get lucky,
(scratches lottery ticket) it’s easy (some random tutorial) (dick sucking head going down shot)
- (Heart chocolates) (squeaking bed ,roses)(plastic bag with receipt). Lucky as can be, I knew
you’d be alright with it. It would just have to work some kind of way. I would have to work some
kind of way. - Sometimes I’d share my pain, my ugliness with your ugliness, my offsets with your
offsets, my nakedness with yours and call it love. I knew that wasn’t enough I guess I called that
hope or hopelessness. It would have to be just how it is. just what it was. It wasn’t cute. None of
this shit was cute. I didn’t want you to fall through the cracks and I didn’t trust anyone. I would
need our love to be perfect. always”

got stuck at the top. I would have to leave, the same way I got there. I would have to walk the

be good enough with just taking a walk outside. this shit would make me a maniac. I couldn’t
let that happen. My need for you was likewise. (scene of woman lusty, forward, afraid, insecure,
dishonest, dismissive, needing the man to work for her, believing). Main Character Narrative -
“An expectant woman - gives no life to answers and no haunt to ghost. This need - spawning me
away. This real truth about being a man - the more terrifying. I sorted a few things out at cause.
I felt more comfortable as an enigma.” (scene of a man running deep into the darkness.) (weird
lights sights and sounds - he’s slowed up about a few things, figures it out, its like ninja warrior,
it get physical and dangerous. He looks around keeps goin erratically but on his shit no matter
how chaotic, just doing it, just making it happen, no reward, no promises, no spoil, etc. )
