KIDS

Maker Monday

11 am – 2 pm: Design and make—STEAM/STEM Projects
June 12. Egg Drop Challenge: Build and design a contraption to protect an egg. After you

have built it, we will drop it from the roof of the library to see if your egg can make it safely.

June 19. Structure Building: Build structures with pasta, pretzels and marshmallows

and see if they hold up to the test.

June 26. Baking Soda Powered Boat: Create a baking soda powered boat and see if it will

work in our pool.

July 3. 4-Wheel Balloon Car: Design a balloon car and see how far it will go.
July 10. Pendulum Painting: See what wonderful designs you can create using a

pendulum to paint.

July 17. NEW! Paper Plane Challenge
July 24. NEW! Marker Chromatography
July 31. Art Bot 2.0: Create an Art Bot and make it spin. We will be using

toothbrushes, pool noodles and DC motors.
