SIMON SAYS

Instructions: Elect one person as the leader. In this
game, he is known as “Simon.” Have him go to the
front of the room, and everyone else stands up
faces this person. Simon will get in front of the
room and call out commands. If Simon begins the
sentence by saying “Simon says…” then everyone is
required to do the action. If he does not begin with
“Simon says…” then the players are not allowed to
do the action. For example, if Simon calls out,
“Simon says, touch your toes!” then all players must
touch their toes. If a player doesn’t obey, they are
out and are eliminated from the game.
Objective: Be the last player standing
Equipment: None

TAG

Instructions: Begin by choosing a person to be
“It,” That person is the one who can “freeze”
other players. When the game begins, everyone
runs away from the person who is “it.” The one
who is “it” will try and tag (touch) all players. If
a person is successfully tagged, he or she must
“freeze” in place. Frozen people cannot move
until another player un-freezes them (touches
them to return them to normal).
The player who is “it” wins by freezing all
players
Objective: Tag all players
Equipment: None needed

RED ROVER

Instructions: Divide the group of kids into two
teams. The kids then form two lines holding
hands and facing each other. The team chosen to
go first calls for a runner from the other line,
saying, “Red Rover, Red Rover, let Thomas come
over!” Thomas then takes off running and tries
to break through the other line. If Thomas is a
wise player, he will choose what he judges to be
a weak link for his effort. If the two players who
are targeted are unable to maintain their grip
and Thomas breaks through, he chooses one of
the kids that he broke through to take back to
his team. If he doesn’t break through, he has to
stay with the other team. The game ends when
everyone is in one line.
Objective: Have everyone on one side in one line
Equipment: None

FRISBEE FOOTBALL

Instructions: Divide players into equal groups. Two
players from each team comes forward and plays
rock, paper, scissors to see which teams goes first.
The player who wins will go back to their team and
their team will get the frisbee first. The first team
will be on offensive and the second team will be
defensive. The offense team will start at the base
line and throw the frisbee to one of their
teammates. If the teammate catches the frisbee he
or she must stay in that same spot that he or she
catches the frisbee at. You can only pivot until the
frisbee leaves the hand. If the player doesn’t
catches the frisbee it goes to the other team and
they start from the base line. To score the team has
to get to the other end of the base line. The team
with the most points win.
Objective: To score the most points as a team
Equipment: Frisbee

HOT POTATO

Instructions: Players will get in
a circle and toss a small object such as
a beanbag or even a potato to each other
while music plays. The player who is

to high five the next student in line. The next student will
then place their marker in an open hoop. The goal is to have
your team get 3 in a row (horizontally, vertically, or
diagonally). If all 3 markers have been played and there is no
tic tac toe, the next student in line will run down and move
one of their own team markers into an open hula hoop.

members will run around the cones and try to make
it back to their side before being tag. When the
player reaches their home they tag their team
