Dear Participants
of the 2018 ZCF
Queen Contest:
Tea Party
Iwould like to thank the Zapata County
Fair Association and Queen’s Commit-
tee for bestowing the honor of asking
me to be the 2018 Queen Madrina.
I’ve excited for all of the contestants that
have decided to challenge themselves and be
a part of one of the most anticipated events
that makes up the county fair. It takes courage
to step up onto that stage and showcase your
beauty, talent, and poise.
Sitting on the other side of the stage makes
one think that contest entails attending a couple
of practices, but in reality the preparation for
the event begins months in advance. This
all culminates one fateful afternoon when
you all step onto that stage with the hopes
of garnishing the title of Zapata County Fair
Queen.
I would like to thank all of the contestants,
their parents, and families for helping us in
making this event possible. We would have no
contest without you all.
I would like to wish all the contestants
the best of luck and hope you all cherish the
friendships and memories you all will make for
years to come.

2017 ZCF QUEEN
Being Queen has made this
the most memorable time
of my life. My journey was
filled with many challenges
as well as opportunities. I have learned
valuable lessons from every experience
and every relationship I’ve formed and
acquired skills that will carry me for
years to come.
I set out to better myself, inspire my
peers, and live out my dreams. Along
the way, i’ve learned to take direction,
criticism and compliments. Yet tonight,
I am closing one of the most beautiful
chapters in the book of my life. Rest
assured that my heart and soul will
always belong to Zapata. Farewell, I will
forever be your 2017 ZCF Queen.
