Admissions Packet 2024-2025<br>(Updated 09-29-23)

Dear Prospective Student Family,

Choosing the right school for your child’s education is one of the most important
decisions you will ever make. We know you have many options and we thank you for
choosing to explore Friendship Christian School. The reason we do what we do is
because we believe that offering exceptional academics, arts, athletics, and service,
presented through a Christian worldview, is the greatest way to prepare our students for
all aspects of life. It is in this environment where our students are inspired to reach their
maximum potential.

This packet will help you learn how our academics, arts, athletics, service projects, and
co-curricular activities help us to accomplish our mission; but the best way to get to know
us is to visit our campus. We invite you to schedule a personal tour and see firsthand the
difference a Friendship Christian education can make.

We look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education and in helping them
discover God’s calling for their life.

Choice Matters. Choose Friendship.

Students should contact their higher education in-
stitutions of interest regarding their credit transfer
process prior to registering for dual credit/dual en-
rollment courses. FCS offers an extensive list of dual
enrollment/dual credit opportunities; however, each
university sets its own policy as to how many credits
a student may transfer while still be considered for
incoming-freshmen scholarships (as compared to

entering as a transfer student).

PLEASE NOTE:
In order to receive a Friendship Christian School diploma, students are expected to be
enrolled at FCS a minimum of four semesters of their high school career. The primary
exception to this would be a student who is moving into the local area from out of state or
a distant region of Tennessee. Students from local high schools will not be considered
for transfer if they will not meet this requirement.
Students must be enrolled at FCS for all four years of high school in order to be consid-
ered for Valedictorian or Salutatorian.
Some courses may not be offered every semester.

FCS Tuition Assistance Application Process

A limited amount of need-based tuition assistance is available for students in grades 1-12 after their family has consid-
ered their own resources. FCS receives no federal funding for the operation of the school, therefore all approved tuition
assistance grants are funded by the school. FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment determines the financial need of each
family through the financial aid application process listed below. Based on that determination, the FCS Tuition Assis-
tance Committee will determine an amount, if any, to be awarded.

All returning students must be re-enrolled and new students must have completed the Admissions Application
process and be accepted to FCS before the Tuition Assistance Committee will consider giving tuition assistance. We
strongly encourage new families applying for tuition assistance to complete the Admissions Application at the same
time.

Tuition Assistance Application Action Items
The Tuition Assistance Application Process consists of TWO PARTS:

Part One

Submit payment of the $35 application fee to FACTS

Grants are awarded by the Tuition Assistance Committee for one academic year and the application process must be
completed each year. You will be notified of your tuition assistance decision via the email you provide on your FACTS
agreement. Your financial information will be known only by those at FCS who administer tuition assistance and we
take our responsibility to protect this information very seriously. Conversely, if you receive a tuition assistance grant,
you must keep the fact you received it, and the amount awarded confidential or risk losing the tuition assistance grant.

Questions or concerns about the application process?
Call and speak to a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 1-866-315-9262. You may also contact
Kimberly Tune by phone (615) 449-1573, ext. 233 or email [email protected].
