School Direct Salaried draft

School Direct Salaried draft

Before I started
training, I was a Teaching
Assistant and thought that the next
obvious progression route would be

to become a teacher.
I asked my school if they would
support me through this, and they
said yes. Now, I am completing my
teacher training in a school that I
am familiar with, with staff who

already know me.

Primary Trainee

For over 16 years, The Merseyside, Cheshire & Greater
Manchester Teacher Training Consortium has been
passionate about training quality teachers, and has
trained over 750 people to Newly Qualified Teacher status.

We work with you and your employing school to help design your
bespoke 12 month teacher training programme, which offers you access
to quality training from experienced professionals and ongoing support
from The Consortium.

“With the ability to work in
partnership with schools across the
North West, our School Direct
Salaried programme allows us to
customise the training to meet the
needs of both the school and the
trainees, who gain practical
experience from day one. It is a
great way to learn and qualify to
become a teacher and many
successful candidates quickly
progress into leadership positions.”

Throughout the 12
months, I had ongoing
support from The
Consortium and from my
School Based Tutor whilst
in school.
I felt looked-after the
whole time.
