EMPOWERING SENIORS 2017 | FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6

We are excited to announce that we have already begun working on another exciting year
for Empowering Seniors. This event allows us to provide critical information and screenings
in a fun and casual environment to this important segment of our community. One of the
true highlights each year is seeing the overflow crowd stream into Empowering Seniors.
With your help, we continue to build upon each year’s accomplishment to make the next
one even better. Our 9th Annual Empowering Seniors Event will be held on Friday,
October 6, at the First Euless Campus West facility.
Last fall, over 2,500 attendees experienced free health screenings and workshops, enjoyed
free food and entertainment, and visited with our sponsors in our expo areas. Many of our
partners describe Empowering Seniors as their most powerful and productive
marketing event of the year.
We continue to make a major push to grow the age range to include more attendees ages
50 to 65. This has opened a broader range of prospective customers for our sponsors, as
you are able to market to future seniors and caregivers who are currently caring for their
parents and loved ones. They will also recognize that they may be receiving similar
services in the not-so-distant future.
As with any event, an early commitment guarantees lots of promotional exposure. Please
feel free to contact Rebecca Barksdale or Devin Wenske at 817-581-3600 with any
questions regarding sponsorship opportunities.
We thank you for your consideration and look forward to working together this year on
October 6! Please mark your calendar and let’s make Empowering Seniors 2017 an even
greater success for our community.
Sincerely,

Gary Fickes
Tarrant County Commissioner, Precinct 3

TESTIMONIALS EMPOWERING SENIORS 2017 | FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6

“The entire experience was one of caring”

I participate in a number of these senior events all year, and Empowering Seniors is
clearly the most effective marketing investment I have all year long. You can always
count me in!

A Seven Year Supporter

I hear it again and again from fellow senior-focused businesses: Empowering Seniors is

the premier senior event in North Texas. “Screenings were

in 2009, and are very proud to have our name associated with such a professionally run

and senior helpful event. It has been my personal experience that Commissioner Fickes

and his staff are passionate about serving seniors. They have created an event that is

“It was like meaningful, pertinent to actual needs of boomers and seniors, and reduces the isolation
spending time that so many seniors experience. Each year, as planning gets underway, that passion is
with friends!” revealed in new, creative ways to keep Empowering Seniors fresh and relevant.

Ron P., Sponsor

What an awesome event! I was so happy to be a part of it. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing some information
with the attendees and I truly enjoyed their conversation, questions, comments, and jokes. It was so nicely
organized and ran so smoothly, it was simply a joy to participate. Thanks for including us in this awesome
event. I look forward to supporting and participating in it next year!

Monica S., Exhibitor

Empowering Seniors event is certainly one of the best in the state. It has been an honor
to share the services available from my agency to attendees.

The Seniors Event at First Baptist Church facilities on Friday in Euless was just

GREAT!!! Many seniors took advantage of this opportunity and there were Volunteers everywhere. There

were so many booths, exhibits and "things" that all people need to know and to access. Thank You and all

the volunteers for the hard work in organizing and actually having this wonderful event.

changes and challenges in my life that I am not prepared for. Empowering Seniors serves
as a valuable resource to seniors like me, providing information on a broad scope of topics
and on services that are available to us to help us better mange our lives. I think
"Empowering Seniors" is a very appropriate name for this event. The more we know, the
more control we have in meeting the challenges we face. Thank you,
