WOW! JA

What a transformative year! inspires

After an intensive capital campaign, we are Thanks to your
readying the new and improved JA Finance Park. support,
This enhanced location will offer thousands of
students a state-of-the-art budgeting experience. JA of Central Virginia
There will be a JA Career Center - the only one of continues to
its kind - in which middle and high school
students will be able to chart their future path.   grow and evolve.

But the growth of JA Finance Park is not the
only exciting thing that has been happening!

Our signature events including Bowl for JA and the
JA Greater Richmond Business Hall of Fame grew in
attendance and sponsorships and we debuted a
new fall event - The M&T Bank JA Empower the
Future Breakfast.

We added several new service areas, increasing the
number of districts in our footprint to over 30.  And
we added more district superintendents to our
education advisory board thanks to new
memorandums of understanding with Goochland,
New Kent and Powhatan.

The Virginia Entrepreneurial Challenge continued
to grow thanks to partnerships with VCU and
Governor McAuliffe's office.

But the most exciting thing of all is to know that you
- JA's supporters, donors, advocates, volunteers -
you have gotten us to where we are today. None of
these accomplishments are possible without you!

Thank you,

It gives students a more realistic snapshot of what budgeting, credit, etc. looks

Growing up, my main goal was to be financially successful in life. The “real
world” was a frightening world to me – until I participated in a JA program at
my high school. I learned about financial literacy and work readiness. Before
these programs, I was scared of adulthood because of finances, retirement
plans and having a job that may not suit me. But now, I am no longer afraid. I
know I can have my ideal life with the right budgeting and planning. Francis

Bacon once said, “knowledge is power.”  Now I have the knowledge AND
power to succeed not only today – but in the years soon to come!
