BIOPHYSICAL SCIENCES

Strict Rotation, student must take BIOL 121 and CHEM 121 their first semester to be on rotation with the rest of

their courses. Some students will need to meet with a program advisor to determine if this program is a good fit/

are able to finish the program in their ideal time frame:

> Students who change their major to BPS
> Transfer Students
> Students who have not successfully completed their pre-req courses

INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES (ELEMENTARY EDUCATION)

This is a licensure program. Students will need to be aware of the licensure tests and items they must turn in in
order to complete their field experiences. (see attached information about the IDS levels of progression and
licensure credentials for this major).

> Student is aware of Licensure credentials
> These students must complete general education for licensure purposes. Students do not qualify for the

Carte Blanche for general education except for the BIBL courses.

SECONDARY EDUCATION PROGRAMS

These are all campus only programs and student should be aware of their licensure credentials/levels of
progression.

> English with secondary education concentration
> Math with secondary education concentration
> History and Social Science

HONORS PROGRAM (UNDERGRADUATE ONLY)

> Admission
» Students must be admitted to Regent before applying for the Honors program. Students submit an

application and essay. More information on admission requirements for the Honors program can be

» found here.
This program is not currently open to IDS students.
> Requirements
» The Honors Program is a cohort style in which the students must start in the fall semester and

» continue to take Honors classes semester to semester with the same classmates.
Honors course are strictly general education courses. Students take major courses just like any other

student. The only general education course that is not Honors is Math. Students should take the

» necessary MATH course for their major.
All Honors courses have an advisor approval restriction on them. Students must submit an Add/Drop

to get registered for these. The Honors courses are either section 01 or 99 (GENE 100 is a GENE

100-99 section).

> No more than 7 credit hours in one semester
> No more than one course at one time
> Must choose course off of approved list

UNIVERSITY ADVISING >O<

UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC SUCCESS PROGRAM (UASP)
Must be enrolled in UNIV 101 (first Session) and UNIV 102 (2 credit hours) and ENGL 101 (3 credit hours) in
second session (or GENE 100 if they transfer in ENGL 101). Student does not have to pass UNIV 101 to move
on to UNIV 102 and ENGL 101.

> UNIV 101: Foundations for Learning Success I (2 credits)
» Examination of knowledge and resources necessary for undergraduate student success within the

context of Regent University's educational environment. Particular attention is given to academic
writing and use of the Academic Support Center. Pass/No Pass.

> UNIV 102: Foundations for Learning Success II (2 credits)
» Further examination of knowledge and resources necessary for undergraduate student success at

Regent University. Particular attention is given to use of the Library, Center for Student Happiness,
Academic Advising, Career Services, and other student academic support services. Pass/No Pass.

> Other Requirements
» Students must meet with their advisor several times a semester.
» Limited to only taking 7 credit hours total for their first semester
» Given Provisional Status
» Students are not dismissed if they fail UNIV 101 or 102. They are dismissed after completing 12

credit hours and not reaching a 2.0 GPA.
