This year in a partnership with Lufkin Independent School District,
funds raised from past Tee It Up for Teachers Tournaments are provid-
ing an opportunity for teachers from all six independent school districts
to come together for a time of training. Liz Murray, nationally known
author and public speaker, will be giving a presentation to local teachers
about her journey “From Homeless to Harvard” on Friday, August 19 at
the Pitser Garrison Convention Center.

The tournament will take place on Monday, June 13 at Crown Colony
Country Club. The team entry fee is $500 for a team of four. Register by
Wednesday, June 1.
