Plans for Next Moon Trip Underway
A crash landing isn’t deterring a new Israeli e ort to land
successfully on the moon, JTA reported.

“We are going to actually put a new spacecra on the moon
and we are going to complete the mission,” SpaceIL Chairman
Morris Kahn said on April 13. “As for my message for all the

SpaceIL attributed the April 11 crash of Beresheet to a
technical computer glitch that led to a chain of events. Israel

said Beresheet traveled 248,548.5 miles in all.

Israel is seeking to become the fourth country to successfully

Mission Possible host committee members Garrett Snider for the synagogue’s religious school students. Sixteen “families” tried to escape by
solving Passover-related clues, which served as a culminating event tying together
everything the children have learned. Once they “escaped,” they ran through the
Red Sea, which was created by the youngest students in the religious school.

Ten members of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) Greater
Philadelphia Section were part of a group of 400 NCJW delegates from across the
United States, Israel and Australia who attended the organization’s Washington
Institute 2019 held in Washington, D.C. from April 7-9. The women learned
about strengthening advocacy skills; attended panels and in-depth workshops
and connected with activists from communities across the country to effectively
lobby their own legislators.
