Bembridge Harbour Authority extends a warm welcome to all our visitors, whether discovering
the delights of Bembridge and St Helens for the first time, or returning to this beautiful part of
the Island. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Many improvements have been made in the Harbour over the past 2 years. There is still
much to do and we value the views and input of all Harbour users. The Bembridge Harbour
Advisory Group, meeting every 2 months, brings together stakeholders to discuss all aspects
of the Harbour – more information on the work of the group can be found on our website:
www.bembridgeharbour.co.uk.
2013 saw our July Celebration Weekend – a wonderful community event in support of Sail 4
Cancer. Its success has spurred us on to organise a 2014 version – the date for your diary is the
weekend of 25th-27th July. Events will include the Bembridge Village Regatta, paddleboard
and kayaking, beach activities for the children and much more. The annual Dance on the Duver
will also again take place that weekend.
We look forward to seeing you during 2014.

MFV "MY WAY" – the past, the present, the future

In the late 1970s – local fisherman, Archie Henley designed a catamaran style fishing boat,
boatbuilders were unsure, would a catamaran be capable of the heavy work of a commercial
